2960S switch has got 10 Gig Up-link and I need to connect it to an existing Cisco 3750 E series Switch.
What connector should i use? BTW my budges is tight and both the switches are going to be on the same rack, so i do not need a fiber based connector. I prefer a copper or any other connector but a 10GIG TRANSCEIVER.. can someone guide me as to what connector i should use.
You are saying transceiver, do you mean the GBIC ?
There is a Cisco compatible 10 GB GBIC for sale on Ebay

At $100 this is about $600 cheaper than buying one from Cisco. I have not seen any 10 GB copper type of connectors. You might also have to have an attenuator on the transmit side of the laser so that it does not burn out the opposite sides receiver.
I don’t really see why you would need 10 GB, likely you could just use etherchannel and group together 3 or 4 of the 1 G ports and create a 4 GB connection between the switches and then use short lengths of CAT6A cabling.
