I need to film live gigs. what professional camcorder could I get with a budget,?

Posted on May 26th, 2011 by admin

of around £750? I am just starting out in my new business venture which includes filming of weddings & doing videos of local bands… I have a chance to film a live gig in a few weeks but haven’t found a decent budget camcorder for the job.. I was looking at the Panasonic HDC-MDH1 HD which the Money Supermarket Club found for me but the sites that sell it ship from Hong Kong plus shops that I have phoned have never heard of it before… I’m confused & in need of some advice. Cheers

The HDC-SD900 is an affordable 3MOS camcorder capable of stunning HD image quality. While its 1080/50p shooting mode will have pro-users salivating, the rest of us will not be left wanting by its AVCHD performance. Throw in some of the best IA management in the business, plus a solid digital stills performance and you have a versatile shooter that’s a dream to use

How do you find out when gig tickets are about to go on sale?

Posted on May 23rd, 2011 by admin

I often lose out on buying tickets to gigs because I’m not quick enough and then have to pay mad amounts of money from touts.
Is there like a website that gives you updates on things where tickets will be on sale soon?
I’ve looked on all the obvious places and can’t find any feature like that.
thanks

make a list of your favorite artists on event.com and they will tell you when the bands or events will be in your area, but somtimes they dont give you a lot of time, its still a great websight.

Need Advice, What Guitar/Amp should I buy?

Posted on May 20th, 2011 by admin

I’m currently in an indie rock band, and I need some better gear for touring/gigs etc. I have a tight budget for the guitar and the amplifier, £1000 is basically all I have, I need some good suggestions, all my choices have been a bit too enthusiastic haha…

The type of amp that you want really depends on the size of the venues that you’re playing at. The more wattage an amp has, the more power and volume it can produce. I have a 110 watt line 6 amp, and it’s loud enough for small-medium venues. There’s really no need for a massive full stack or anything fancy, unless you guys are playing arenas and such. :D

How do you unlock the "tesla’s coil" and "recording studio" gigs in Guitar Hero World Tour?

Posted on May 17th, 2011 by admin

I am confused as to how you can unlock the songs from the Australian and Canadian venue gigs without using cheat codes.

I unlocked them by just playing through the game. You unlock the stage when u complete the gig it is in in Career mode. Finish the tool gig and u get the Tool Stage etc

Are there any gigs in nyc that my band could play in?

Posted on May 14th, 2011 by admin

I am a manager of a band and I just want help trying to find gigs in nyc, any events, restaurants, taverns, anything. The band consists of a drummer, 2 guitarists, bass player, and a keyboard player. I would really appreciate this especially for my band. Thankkss a lot :)
not in staten island though, only brooklyn, bronx, or manhattan, or queens. pleasee

L’amour. It used to be a place where metal bands like Anthrax, Metallica, Exodus, W.A.S.P, etc would play. I’m pretty sure its located in Staten Island now.

Is sex a common thing at music gigs?

Posted on May 11th, 2011 by admin

Right so I’m going to a music gig by myself soon and wondered how common are sex? I am female and just want to know whether I should be more careful at all? How can I avoid anything dangerous happening? How likely is it a guy would ask me to have sex with him randomly when I’m there (hey I only want to have a bit of fun :P )… if so where exactly could you do it – in the toilets? :-S

Thanks ;)

I know a couple people who went to a Green Day/ Billy Talent/ Alexisonfire concert recently… actually, about a year ago. They said there was a girl giving head to a couple of guys. In public. There was apparently a circle surrounding her.

Not sure if that’s your forte, but…
hey, I tried to help

what do people do at a pop music gigs?

Posted on May 8th, 2011 by admin

i’ve always wondered, cause when ever i go to gigs i mosh.
you can’t exactly mosh at a rhianna gig. do they just stand there??

I have never been to a pop gig, I’ve only ever been to metal/rock ones, so like you, I just mosh there.

However, lots of my friends are more into pop, and say that at the gigs they basically just clap, sing along and yes, just stand there.

Sounds completely boring to me, but I guess if that’s what they’re more into, good on them!

Is it weird to go to a music gig by yourself?

Posted on May 6th, 2011 by admin

I want to see a few bands I like playing in London soon but no one I know likes that sort of music, but I really want to go plus I see it as a chance to possibly make friends. Would it be weird to go to a gig by myself, or dangerous even? I tend to get very drunk at gigs…

What do you think?

Do it up, son.
