What watt guitar amp should I buy for use as a practises amp and small to medium gigs in a band?

I am starting a 5 piece guitar band. We have 2 guitarists, a bassist, a drummer and a singer. I want to buy a new amp but dint know what watt amp to get that will be suitable for practising with the band and also small to medium sized gigs. Should I be looking at 100 watt or should 60 watt be enough?

I use a 50 watt Marshall MA Combo. That is PLENTY. It sounds great quite and even better when I crank it up to jam with my band. I play small gigs and haven’t needed to mic it yet.

Basically im looking for a camera that takes brilliant photos at gigs. This is the main feature that i need as i have a camera with me at all times that is fine for standard photography.

How many gigs of RAM should I require for this Terraria server?

I am planning on hosting a small Terraria server with the max of 8 players on at a time, I NEED to know how many gigs of RAM I should have for a Large map, 8 player server.

For a gaming server, minimum will be 4 gag.

Beside the RAM, upload and download speed is very important too. For 8 player i would need 3 Mbps upload and 10 Mbps download speed.

Wired network connectivity is better than wireless ones, for ensuring reliable connections.

Music jobs in the Military sucks. Can I be a Military and have my music gigs in the civil world?

If you are a music producer or musician, can you be in the Military and still have your gigs? And when I say gigs I mean to work in the music industry on the civil world?

Yes – you can.

First of all, there are musicians in the military – however, you need to be very good! Each branch of the military have bands in several locations. In most cases, music is their primary job.

If you have a ‘regular’ job in the military, that is your first duty. If you have a regular schedule, and can work your ‘garage band’ around that schedule, there is nothing stopping you from playing, writing, producing with civilians in your area.

I was in the Navy, and played rythm guitar n a band that took of local gigs. When it conflicted with my ‘duty’, I had to miss the gigs.

Bottom line, as long as you’re staying ‘legal’, and your involvment with music doesn’t conflict with your job in the military – you should be fine.

How Many Gigs of RAM Will I Need To Run Minecraft Well?

2-3 Gigs is efficient enough. I have 2 gigs of RAM and it runs good on Normal fog view.

I am a solo artist trying to get my name out to the people. I just wanna know, how do I find gigs for myself to play. I have NO connections in the business and I am NOT comfortable with Battle of the Bands. Is there anywhere online I can find gigs.

A great way to go is House Concerts – perfect for the solo performer. You get an appreciative audience, you get to play your original material and they can pay well if done right.

We’ve gotten a few gigs before, but mostly parties and things with people we know who gave us a chance to play. We played a battle of the bands once and won second. I really want to find some real gigs, but I don’t know a lot of small venues that are open to thrash metal, and any venues of any size that I find, I don’t know how to go about getting the gig. We’re in the Downingtown/West Chester area (outside Philadelphia) if you know any venues that would be interested.

Talk to some similar bands in the area, try starting with secret shows at small, private "venues" (usually rigged-up garages are the ones I’ve played at)

Eventually, if you’re good enough, you’re likely to end up playing with a more popular band (thus gaining you notoriety) or for people there to recruit for larger shows.

I currently have a 15 watt guitar amp, its not enough for band practice.

Would a 75 watt 1×12 be plenty of power for practice and small gigs?

My bass player uses a 50 watt 1×12 and we have a 60 watt 2×10 PA (For vocals only) and a fairly loud drummer.

If you go tube then 30 watts would do it. If you buy solid state you probably will need 75 watts.

i have around 30 gigs of music. my got a macbook air for christmas and i’m afraid it won’t be able to hold my music once i try to transfer it.

30 gigs is next to nothing with a mac book i have one also it has over 150 gigs of free space.
if you are that worried an external drive might be the answer or a flash drive some of these now are up to 32 gigs so you could carry your music around in a pendrive. .
the hard drive is upgrade able to 1000 gigs.
